Player Development Program

The only way athletes can achieve immediate and long-term goals is to be in a specially designed program that fosters development. RCA’s Player Development Program starts with diet and lifestyle evaluation and adjustments. Proper eating is essential to physical and mental development.

RCA’s experienced athletic trainers believe that a balanced regimen of academics and athletics will result in student-athletes reaching their ne plus ultra. Player development is synonymous with athletic IQ.

The brain must be trained to get the body to instinctively or spontaneously respond in milliseconds. Students must know the whys and whens of game execution.

RCA’s Player Development Program teaches the importance of S.T.S. (spacing, timing, and sequence). Basically, what we do is train student-athletes to think. Basketball Camps are very helpful but are only a short-term introduction to skill training. Through RCA’s uniquely designed method of ongoing training, skills are acquired and reinforced, resulting in the development of even the less athletic and less talented players.

A known fact is that players do not get better by just playing numerous games, but improvement comes from repetitious and proper training.
